and it rained tonight. Someone keep leaving the sliding panels open for the cold wind to blow into the common room, render it too cold for me to make a phone call. I'm having tots of getting some heavy duty bond and killer traps to deter the tard but I rem I should be nice to people..

.getting cold.everlong.

Zombie apocalypse hit the village on the fourteenth of March two thousand eight. The very night, I was in the human escort team to rescue a guy from his office duty after midnight. Zombies were roaming on the housing premises and running away from us most of the time. Saturday morning, I took the trash out and saw one of my neighbors who got infected, waiting to get me. My housemate and I decided that we need to get some guns although throwing socks at them helps immobilize them for fifteen minutes, too. The only way to kill them is to keep ourselves safe and they will die of starvation after forty eight hours. The two missions on, one involving human rescue were successful but I wasn’t part of them because I was modifying my gun and shooting at training targets.

Life is simple but better before the apocalypse..

We could watch fireworks in the dark from our porch without constant watch over our backs and in the bushes.
Even when I’m still living out of my suitcase5 or that I have no one to do my laundry3, at least it used to be safe to be at the clothes line. It’s probably a matter of time before I get sick of staying at home2 watching Family Guy, playing SingStar/Wii7 and that I need to get food to survive, too. I had noodle in hot soup1 on cold days, chinese fried rice6 on some days, muffin-style ramly burger8 when I missed home and my favorite wrap4 on most days.

These were the days my nice distant neighbors and some UWA mates would invite me to their house for lamb dinner and birthday. I should muster enough courage to walk through the zombie-infested village to their house some day so we could play poker or have them over for SingStar again.

moonburst

This is Pantomime.
And no this isn't how they usually dress.

Recent gig at DXO ("buy rice, half price!").
It kinda sucked in some ways, but we had FUN.

Would've posted some videos here, but i think I'll upload them to Youtube or Facebook instead later this month.

Incubus rocked Fort Canning Hill this past Friday [7 march] on a small stage.
Considering it was their first time in Singapore, it wasn't as amazing as what you'd expect from their history of gigs; take for instance, their Look Alive concert DVD experience.
Audience interaction was kept to a minimal of thanks, helloyouu, hellomee, and the usual oOoOo.
And they're off to the Sunburst Festival in KL (TheRoots!JohnLegend!MoreIncubus!MalaysiaBoleh!) so I gather Singapore was simply a stopover en route to other bigger gig venues.

A hella sweaty and breathtaking time I had, no less.
Pictures from the gig to come after the week passes--when I finally login to Facebook to grab them off my mates' albums.

cheerio!

hello, two

1817 PT - an hour ahead of you

Good day, mate! I'm the babe in the golden state, Alex is a special boy I met somewhere, sometime ago and I don't mean special as a politically correct word for retard. It's kinda freaky the way we are able to connect, shouting snap when we do and it occurs in most conversations we had. That's how I can tell him about my weirdest tots and he has prolly tot of them, too.
If you're wondering, we're not tog. In fact, two thousand four hundred twenty five miles apart, so you still have the chance to bring this chickenlegs-buttless-neurotic boy home if you want to.
It's been around two weeks since I got here, since I carry and stroke my pussy (the furry one, the pet with four legs), since I meet up with my bffs, since I hang out at cine, since I eat out at hawkers/food courts and whatnot.

Here's some peek,

The house.

The big field I've to cross to go to skool. Takes me fifteen mins or more under the intense sun to get to the classes but I get to see soccer boys from my porch.

Manning

Do write.

I get lonely.

They have these everywhere when I came. It's a poster for a real life zombie apocalypse game within my village.

Got lost on my way home after my first bus trip to the bank and ..

..Westfield Carousel

Curry dinner.

Sushi dinner.

Survived on sandwiches for quite a while and gave up the intention to stay that way.

My korean housemate. We have people from Mauritius, US of A and the locals.

I've seen fireworks for the third time on my porch within the week I arrived without the crazy crowd like how it is in sg and got the pictures from a guy with slr but I realised they're watermarked (argh!) so maybe I'll post after I get rid of them.

cheers

alex says: hello world

Willkomme, Bienvenue, Welcome
to the space that links Perth and Singapore.

the birth of this idea of a shared space sprung from conversations between huijun and myself.

allow me a brief introduction to the readers that be: i am mingshen--or alex, the more common name that my friends know me by--and huijun and i have known each other since 2003.

in line with keeping in touch despite the 2,425 miles that our dear lalalaney has traveled, the number 2425 remains a source of inspiration for the name of this space.

and, huijun, it's been two weeks since you left.
another two years and then some before you return?
i always liked the number two..but somehow this time, two is proving to have more meanings that i could ever imagine it having.

here's to the rocky roads ahead.

cheers
